You can pretty much get away with anything here, which provides a nice relaxing atmosphere for students. Students can get written up by security many times before they have any kind of consequences whatsoever. If you are drinking at some of the senior housing complexes there is zero chance of any kinds of consequences.

Drinking and Weed

Alcohol and weed are really big here. Some other drugs are used but people generally aren't out of control. I'm not really sure if I'm grading how good the drug scene is or how good the drug scene isn't though. I think that it's perfect personally.

I Love Vassar.

I've never been happier anywhere. The people are so friendly and it's, for the most part, an extremely accepting environment. People that aren't happy here are people who:

a) get easily offended (there are a lot of these people at Vassar. They're so liberal that they take offense to everything and make everyone else unhappy.

b) you are anti-social

c) you're a homophobe, racist, or radical Christian.
