Depauw Academics: Communications

The liberal arts mentality is irreplaceable and unique at DePauw. The academic curriculum is highly regarded and sometimes extremely difficult. The Communications Department in specific is one of the most popular majors on campus. It sometimes gets the reputation of being the comparatively 'easy major' on campus, but (as in many things) you get what you put into it. The professors are wonderful and extremely knowledgeable. By far the best aspect to academic life at DePauw is the relationships you will develop between professors and other students in class. Most classes are discussion based and it's an absolute guarantee your professor will know you by name. Professors are always willing to meet after class for additional help, and you often become very close with many of the faculty on campus. It's not out of the ordinary for students to have dinner with professors, or get invited to a class cookout at their professors' house. In fact, part of tuition goes to an account for each class and professor to have a 'free' meal out of the classroom.

Depauw Overall

Overall....DePauw is AWESOME. I always encourage anyone I meet to come for a visit. Everyone at DPU loves DPU and it's the place to be.

Depauw Girls

For the caliber of girls on campus, you'd think you went to a state school like IU. DePauw is known to bring in consistently attractive women. For most guys & girls, DePauw is a school where their parents and family attended, so the attractive genes are destined to keep up year after year. City girls with family riches tend to outweigh most demographics, but after 4 years you'll know an attractive girl with every personality and background.
