Very Good Facilities
Athletics and library facilities are very good. Several newer classroom buildings on campus. Student center and dining facility are outdated, but a new building (which will contain both) is in early planning stages. Fitness center is probably one of the best in the country.

Fairly Strict
Lower division housing is dry. Residence staff is very in-touch with what happens in residence halls. If you want to drink in your room, keep it to a few people and keep the noise level down. Loud parties with more than a few people get busted almost immediately. Zero-tolerance policy for illegal drugs, and expulsion is possible, even for a first-time offender. Alcohol consequences much less severe, but you'll definitely regret getting caught ($50 fine, alcohol class, and letter sent to parents). Certain halls are easier to get caught than others. If you want to drink on weekends, go to C/M.

Spokane Is COLD
It is very cold in Spokane. Starts out very warm in August (usually mid-80s), but by November temperature starts dipping below freezing almost every day. Daily highs in January and February can get into the teens or single-digits. And it snows a lot. Class doesn't get cancelled unless the professors can't get to campus. That said, you will have to deal with cold weather on a daily basis, and you will probably get used to it.

It's Just OK
Well, they really do try. Food in the COG (main dining room) is hit and miss. One night it will be absolutely fantastic, and the next night, you won't want to eat. It all depends on the menu selection for the meal. Very diverse menu, but the best items are the ones they make every day (omeletes at breakfast). Other on-campus eateries (Spikes, SubCo, Panda Express, etc.) are much better, but are too expensive to eat every meal there.

The Community
The feeling of community at Gonzaga is legendary. You notice it as soon as you step on campus as a freshman. Everybody wears Gonzaga gear, and the school pride is evident. Most students are very open to new friendships and relationships. Men's basketball games are huge, and an entire social scene revolves around camping out for seats, which I like to call the "Tent City" phenomenon. You are encouraged to get involved in the extracurricluars right away, as much of the connection to the general social scene is through participation in those.

Girls Are Good
Girls at Gonzaga are pretty sterotypical: Upper-middle-class, white, athletic, and intelligent. Very little diversity, but the overall attractiveness is high if you're into the type described above.
