It Is What You Make It...
There is a lot going on around Campus and the school makes the effort to bring in acts that would normally be hard to find in an area this rural (comedians, musicians, artists etc). There is also a fair amount to do around town, but you'll need your own transportation to get further off campus. However, students tend to get stuck in their daily routines and in the house party scene on campus, which can get pretty boring day in and day out.

If You Want to Bar Hop...
This isn't really the place. However that isn't to say that the party scene isn't a good one. It's just centered around house parties and hall parties in the dorms. Friday nights the local on campus bar, The Underground, is open till 2am. But if you have a car and a DD then there are three or four great places to visit in town, that's about it.

If you don't like the weather, wait five minutes and it will change. There have been absolutely stunning sunny weekends followed by weeks of gloomy rains and vice versa. The campus is gorgeous in the spring and summer, however winter can last a looong time. Don't forget to bring a winter coat!
