Online courses are fairly easy. Basic computer and time management skills are all you need to succeed. Most classes begin with an online orientation and an introduction discussion, followed by a variety of assignments and quizzes/exams. Online classes are not project free; some professors require you to finish elaborate projects with in-depth research.

Professors are sometimes hard to reach when taking online courses. However, if you have a problem, you can always head to your professor's office hours and talk to them in person. One of the major problems with online classes is that sometime the Web site, which is called WebCT, is down. Most professors will not allow you to submit work late, even when the computer server is down. Word of advice: do your homework or class work at least one day in advance. Also, be aware that some professors do not post grades until right before the final exam. Be sure to study hard and stay on course, or else by the time you find out your grades are low, there won't be time to raise them.
