Greek Life at Valparaiso University

Definitely a Small School

Granted, Greek life is very big here, yet the campus takes drinking way too seriously. The once-so-great frat row has turned into two frats; one being filled with weird guys, the other one being too selective. Drinking has to be hidden and kept secret or else you get arrested. But, there is no pressure to be Greek, and non-Greeks get along great with other Greeks. And Greeks here are actually cool and have personalities.

Parking Is Ok, but Could Be Better

There are a couple of places to park on campus, but they aren't really that close together so if one is full it takes some time to get to the next one. Unless you're going off campus or are a commuter, its just as easy to walk. Things aren't that far apart.

Safe Campus

I have never felt unsafe on Valpo's campus. It's small and beautiful. Lock doors at night to avoid petty theft. VUPD can be a little over-reactive toward drinking policy though.
