Don't Get Caught

It is easy to skate by all 4 years without getting in trouble for breaking any rules at Vanderbilt, though rules are broken all the time. Fraternity hazing happens every year, despite lectures, promises, and stricter rules enforcing severe consequences. However, it continues to occur. Fraternities face strict punishments when they are caught, which has led to several fraternities getting kicked off campus in the recent years, changing the social and Greek dynamic of the campus.

Campus (Lack of)Strictness

The campus police are not very strict at all. Underage students go to the hospital for alcohol poisoning and get a slap on the wrist. The cops see drunken kids stumbling over campus all the time, the only time they normally intervene is if they think the person is drunk to the point of harming themselves. They're there to help not to punish.

Lenient Cops but Punishments Can Be Bad

Cops are never there to try to bust you but if you go to the hospital or something, you could get in some trouble.
