Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Villanova is a school that grows on you—for some it takes only until the end of orientation, for others it takes two semesters or more. Whatever the case, students get caught up in what it means to be a Villanovan and to be from the 'Nova nation. Villanova provides students with an excellent education, well enough to confidently put alumni head-to-head with Ivy grads and be successful. Outside of its rich academic tradition, the students at Villanova come to know and appreciate their fellow students, professors, and surrounding community.

Going to Villanova gives students a unique perspective on college life. Even with a lack of diversity and a party scene that doesn’t start to pick up until you are a junior, Villanova is a fun place to be. Villanova will not give you the typical college life of a wild youth, but regardless, it is a school that is exciting and full of good times. While that might not be what you are looking for, the students who do attend Villanova end up loving the school for everything it offers, from its basketball games and rich traditions, to its Catholic heritage and the full load of academics. It’s a school that you can grow into comfortably, and looking back in later years, are glad to call your home away from home.

Personal Safety

I feel very safe walking around campus all hours of the night by myself. There are security guards that are stationed 24/7 and patrol cars can be spotted around campus. You can ask for a ride back to your dorm if you don't feel comfortable walking alone in the dark.

Alcohol Usage

Many students will participate in drinking activities but not many students hide alcohol in their rooms. Peer pressure to drink is not something that really goes on in the school, you can definitely still feel comfortable in the school even if you prefer not to drink alcohol.

I love it at Villanova! I find that my life there is never boring and there's always something to do and the food is awesome! The only thing I would change is pick the whole thing up and bring it closer to home.
