College Prowler Take
While parking illegally, having candles in your dorm room, and playing hall sports are things that RAs and the campus police are strict about, the thing that can get you in the most trouble is drugs and alcohol. Villanova once carried the title of a party school, but the administration has taken steps over the years to make it more and more difficult for students to drink. If you are smart about it and you aren’t noisy, you and your friends can have a fun night without running the risk of getting in trouble. However, if you get even remotely noisy, there is a good chance you’re going to get caught. Any alcohol-related offense runs up a fine and a course in alcohol education, so it’s better to avoid them completely. The University carries strict penalties, but if you are smart and responsible, this won’t happen often enough to worry about them. Remember to be careful about what you become involved with and think carefully about whether or not your actions are worth the consequences that will most likely follow. Most of the students on campus are smart and responsible enough to know the limits, so for that reason, nothing ever really gets out of control.

The campus police are definitely...
The campus police are definitely not the people to run into if you are intoxicated in any way. For the most part, they will notice and then take action, and being written up is by no means good. They will pretty much take whatever you have away, then write you up, and then you go meet with the dean to determine consequences. |

They are very strict with drugs and drinking. You will have to pay a fine, do community service, or get kicked out. In other words, avoid the drugs at all costs. Don’t do anything stupid or experiment with drugs and drinking. This only leads to more problems if over-abused. The majority of the time, your RAs or Public Safety will catch you drinking and doing drugs, so watch out! |

I know people get written up, and there are fines, but I don’t think that the police are that strict about it. You don’t get expelled or anything. |

I have heard of hundreds of dollars in fines for getting caught with beer in the room. I think that the policies are a little too strict. |
