Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Almost all of Villanova is wireless, but some of the older buildings and residence halls still use cables. The service tends to be poor and unreliable in these buildings, but it's pretty fast and reliable everywhere else on campus.

Villanova pre-purchases laptops for incoming freshmen. These are typically used by all students, and some classes—mostly business classes—require students to use programs specific to their Villanova-provided laptop. At the close of sophomore year, students trade in their laptops for a brand new one that they get to keep. All in all, it's a pretty good program, but some students still opt to bring their own laptop or Macbook. Villanova students also have a printing allowance per semester, which is an ample amount, and most students don't exceed it.

Pretty Good

The computers are pretty good here. Frequently, the internet can be slow but it isn't terrible.

Good Computer System

The computers are easily accessible in the library and students are given laptops at the start of freshamn year. Then, you turn them in and get a new one your junior year. The printing system is efficient and the network reliability is good.
