Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Because of the dislike of on-campus dining, many students find themselves spending their money at some of the best restaurants the city has to offer. No matter what you may be in the mood for, there is always a place to satisfy your every craving. You can get pizza, burgers, and subs, or you can get Thai, Indian, Italian, or vegetarian food, all within a few blocks of campus. Several cafés are located throughout the Fan district and are often good places to grab lunch while preparing for your next class.

Because there are so many places to eat, not one place is the same. There are, of course, your chain pizza stores
like Domino’s and Pizza Hut, but for something that tastes better and isn’t any more expensive, try Piccola or Assante’s. They both deliver. Chinese restaurants seem to come and go around campus, but Evergreen, which is located behind the dorms, seems to be a staple food for many of the students who live in the dorms. Carytown offers a ton of great restaurants for students, including Nacho Mama’s and Galaxy Diner. And don’t forget dessert! Coldstone under Ramz Hall is a student favorite for all things ice cream and is packed with students on hot days and nights.

Broad St

It's very close to campus and the a majority of the restaurants take RamBucks. I like the places there because they're usually open late and they're so close. They've got popular places like Qdoba, Five Guys and Cold Stone.

You Gotta Try Mojo's and Extreme Pizza!

At Mojo's the prices are great and affordable for the amount of food you get and the people that work there are really nice to you. They accept the Rambucks that you put on your VCU card without any problems.

Extreme Pizza stays open (and delivers) until 3am on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Their pizzas are amazing. They have different kinds of pizza flavors. The Rambucks are also accepted here.

There are a few street carts around campus that sell drinks and food. J & K’s Mobile Munchies is a student favorite serving different flavored teas, fresh lemonade, and awesome wraps. Most of the food is prepared on site.
