There is a variety of places to eat off campus. There are tons of pizza and Chinese places, and all of the residence halls have takeout menus to a bunch of places. There are a couple of diners on the island, as well as a few Indian restaurants. You can even get sushi delivered. The delivery people are always quick and are usually friendly—you’ll never have to wait more than 45 minutes for your food. If you're in the mood for fast food, there are options at the Staten Island Mall, and there's also a Wendy's nearby.
There are only a few restaurants in walking distance from campus, but there's a variety. Marie's Gourmet—a small café with a friendly neighborhood atmosphere—has a range of food and reasonable prices. There's also an Indian restaurant just down the hill, as well as a family-owned restaurant that is a great place to go when your parents come for a visit. If you have a car, there is a 24-hour Dunkin’ Donuts next to Pathmark on Forest Avenue, and it's combined with a Baskin-Robbins if you want ice cream late at night. And you can never go wrong with the Golden Dove Diner, which is open 24 hours and is straight out of the 80's. The food is great, as is the service, and it's a really fun place to go if you need a late-night study break.
