Facts

Tips for Getting In
  • Admission to Wake is very competitive, and students will need high grades and a challenging high school schedule including AP and honors classes. SAT and ACT test scores are optional.
  • Just as important as academics are an applicant's personal essays, recommendations, extracurricular activities, and interview (which is optional, but highly suggested).
  • Students complain that Wake asks for quite a few supplementary essays, but they are very important and should be given much thought. Ditto for interviews which are also offered in-person, over Skype, and through a written online interview.
  • Wake Forest wants well-rounded students who will contribute on campus and in the wider world.
