I'm an upcoming freshman and a little tentative about Sororities myself but I don't want to feel left out and want to make lots of friends. Would you recommend any sororities in particular?
I have met great people in every sorority. The good thing is that freshman are not allowed to rush until second semester. So by then you will have gotten a feel for what each sorority is all about! Stay true to yourself, and you'll end up where you're supposed to... whether it be in a sorority or the various other clubs and interest groups on campus (or both!).
This is the most ignorant statement about greek life at WFU I have ever heard, and I have heard many. They are several frats that are full of very nice and down to earth guys. Also, they don't all dress the same. The above geed (J33) probably rushed and didn't get a bid or had a pre-disposed judgement and didn't even try rushing and therefore never realized that several of the fraternity brothers at wake are very cool individuals. Also, some may drink heavily on multiple days, but most dont drink any more frequently than the average student.
