The academic experience at Walden has been excellent. I really think that there is not much that they can improve on. I have had no problems with the teachers or academic individuals or classmates.

At Walden University there are several resources students can turn to when in need or have questions. They are academic advising, financial aide, career, tech support, student support, the staff and faculty of the school, residency support staff, mentoring forum for students.

Having attended two residency programs in person I found that the student body is made up of a variety of people from all different ethnic backgrounds and professional careers. I enjoyed the time we spent together while attending the programs. They were happy to be there and willing to share their experience with Walden with me.

Attending Walden University online has allowed me to work outside my home and care for my kids. I have been able to get help paying for school. Had I not I would not be able to attend school. The staff of Walden University has been helpful when it comes to registering for classes, completing finacial aid forms and ordering textbooks for my classes. The school requires four residency programs students need to attend either online or in person, they have given me a lot of information I need in order to move forward in school towards completing my degree.

I feel that the classes I have taken will help me meet my goals now as a student of earning my degree and after I have graduated from the school in my career. The professors who teach the classes have been helpful and understanding when things don't always go as smooth as I would want or need things to go. Example I had computer issues during the beginning of a term, they were very understanding of this and allowed me time to make up any work that was late.

Academics were great I learned more about child development.

There are a considerable amount of resources available to students who choose to take advantage of them.

The topics are good and the instructors also more than adequate for the task. I wish their was a better, more creative manner in which to present and gather material.

I am a Forensic Psycholgy major at my school and have found everyone to be helpful. My instructors have been helpful and supportive. The classes are relevant and infomative. There is a considerable amount of support for students, opportunities to excell, and other resources available to students.

I have traveled overseas and called for support and have always gotten quick responses. I have not had any issues not addressed or resolved. The network response if very efficient.

At first I was nervous but once I began taking courses I got the hang of it. I love Walden because the courses are relevant to my current position and can put it to use now.

this is an online school so I can't really rate the campus. However with the exceptions of blackboard outages due to upgrades, I have no real issues.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I feel that the education I am receiving is well worth the funds paid into it. My degree is a terminal one and the net reward in terms of knowledge, employment opportunities, and personal outlook is well worth the dollars invested.

The computer techs are always at the ready 24/7. I have called with computer issues at all hours of the day and night and received assistance.

It is a great experience because when I am on the road or at work I always have access to the class room. Anytime, anywhere.

Walden University over all is very flexible especially to uncontrollable life situations. Depending on the Instructor is how much flexibility can be given. I had an instructor allow me to make up three weeks of work and I received an A+ in his course.

The online program is very up to date and not hard to navigate. Registration is easy and you can easily add and drop classes. Your financial information is always available in one place. The University Email account is awesome as well and has many great features for example, Campus Cruiser allows you to interact with the whole University and get live feedback. The Instructors are Positive and always available to each and every individual student.

For the most part I enjoy my Professors at Walden University. I receive a lot of positive feed back and interaction with assignments even though I am online. I have some good and positive relationships with my College Professors. I enjoy the Curriculum given, the University allows an excellent time frame for students to complete assignments.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The price per credit hour is reasonable for a university but they make each class 5 credit hours which adds up the cost. Financial aid is amazing, I have had to pay very little out of pocket when I was doubling up on my classes because most expenses were covered by financial aid.

The Walden Library and writing center has been a savior to some. The writing center provides you constructive feedback on papers written and sends you hints and tips via email to keep your assignments on track. They also provide webinars to those interested in strengthening their skills.

The classes required for their degree programs are very in tune with what you want to learn. There is no fluff that needs to be taken (except pre requisites, which can be transferred in). I love that my classes are geared towards my degree. The workload is manageable if you don't over due it. Two classes were enough for me at one given time due to the amount of reading and writing required for online.
College Junior 2013-05-19T03:59:26Z
I give this an A- because I love that there is so much diversity among the group of people that I work with within my classes. However, some of the work produced by students in my class seems less than acceptable. I am shocked by some of the discussion posts that people provide and the writing level seems to be lower than what I expected.
College Junior 2013-05-19T03:56:58Z
I am grading an A- because there is so much flexibility around my schedule. I take my books with me everywhere and read when there is time and as soon as I have access to the internet (which is a lot) I am submitting my discussion responses and assignments. I however get very frustrated with the group assignments because when members don't pull their weight they get the grade. This is frustrating but every so often there will be someone that likes to over achieve more than I do and will take the responsibilities of putting everything together. That balances out the bad group experiences.
