I selected this school because they are very military friendly and provide a full doctoral program online as I move around quite often. My enrollment advisor has been very helpful and quick to respond to my calls and emails.

The school is flexible within reason. There are deadlines and you have to budget your time well for studying and work assignments around your work and family schedule. Instructors will work with you regarding deadlines for personal issues, technical problems etc. However, in general you need to turn your work in on time to get the full grade potential marks.

The student counselors really help you through the process. Once you get started its just fine. You have to take plunge to start yet once you do it is fine. The one unit introductory class really helps you to navigate your way around the online campus. There is always someone to help you with any technical issues 24/7. You get out of it what you put into it.

Not used by me personally because I do not need them at this time.

Walden Univ. tech support was very well educated when I needed assistance. Over the past months Walden Univ. network at school was successful and I had no problems that were detrimental or that hurt my grade or GPA.

I choose Walden Univ. because of the flexibility in the classes. I work late hours and do not have time to sit in a classroom and listen to lectures. Therefore, Walden Univ. gives me the flexibility to study and read on my time. However, the one class question is due on a particular day and time, but enough time is given for completion. The next assignment is due on Sunday before 12 midnight Central time and this works good for me and my busy hectic lifestyle.

Walden's curriculum was great; however, I was looking for something more to add and to enhance my degree, but Walden U. did not offer the class.

Too much time is delegated to class discussions. If I did not have to write the discussions, I could actually take the time to study the material. I am attending school to learn, not to socialize. Also, some of the course content is weak.

I love the online schooling format. I would not be able to attend college if online schooling was not an option.

I recently took a class with a group project. The class was the capstone for general education and most of my peers were almost done with their programs. I had to do most of the work for the project. Out of 6 people, only two helped. The rest seemed barely literate and could not even use APA citations. How are students like these graduating? It makes me questionj the legitimacy of my own degree.

I was actually kicked out of the school for failure to progress on my dissertation. I was allowed to appeal due to extenuating circumstances, but this had an adverse impact on my performance at the school.

Online courses allow me to access my school anytime. There are no local universities with the course selection I needed for my advanced degree, so online school was a no brainer. However, the cost is exorbitant.

Nothing compares with the flexibility of this University. When things go crazy in my life, I don't have to worry that I am missing a class because I have the option to log on at my convenience to do my work and get it in. There are deadlines, but the flexibility of those deadlines, and the fact that I don't have someone breathing over my shoulder telling me to do something, makes this stress free.

I know of these services because I researched many things about this school before starting but have not had to use them yet.

They have a library with assistance if needed. The writing center and help with citations and grammarly are a great resource. Student services, campus life, tech support. You can call your academic advisor, or email your professor any time and get quick responses. Everything you need is at your fingertips.

It was very easy to register for classes. The workload is just right, with working full time. The interaction between students and the professors is outstanding. There is more one on one than in a live classroom.

Good services from what I've read and heard. I have not had a chance to use them myself.

There is not really a campus because it is a strictly online school. They do have a location and business office and things. Most students aren't able to really use facilities at campus because majority are distance learners and the drive would take too long. I have heard good things though.
College Junior 2012-10-27T10:29:51Z
I'm able to contact them anytime by email and a large amount of the day. I am able to do classwork around my schedule. Everyone who I have communicated with has been very helpful.

I like that I can do them on my own time for the most part. There are so many areas of help I can utilize on the website from the library, financial aid, and many other student resources. I do not have to travel extra to get there so it saves times and travel expense.

When the college switched to Blackboard, we had problem for about 6 months. It was more inconvenient than anything, because professors allowed for late submission according to downtime. Technical support was efficient in relaying delays to all students.

I wish my professors were more involved with the students. Most of them let the students run the discussion board and gave little to no input on what the students put to provoke thought. Also, I would highly recommend that they offer more grants and scholarships or someone who specializes in this area to help students out. This is a huge part of the student's concern and needs to be important to the college!!!!

I am a Interdisciplinary Studies major. I have two major focuses: Education and Psychology. It keeps me interested, because I get to take different classes in the majors, but, also, some that connect to both. The workload has been suitable to my schedule which is very helpful.

Walden has a great career service center and staff to answer any questions about the application process.

Walden University has a great faculty as well as staff who are able to facilitate the learning experience successfully. They also have job postings and internship postings to assist continued success for each student.
