Walden University Academic Experience had a new discussion posted by loonylinda

The course are 12 weeks long. This medium of learning affors a rich learning environment with diverse cultures, profession, experiences and expertises.

I will give them an A as well. I love attending Walden because it is not information overload.

Walden provides diversity of learners. Resources to read are also made available

The six week classes are great because you are able to complete your program so quickly. Books were included in my tuition.

I aGRRE WITH THE FEES EVERY SIX WEEK THEY SEEM TO GO UP. yOU DO INTERACT WITH A LOT OF DIFFERENT CULTURES. tHAT IS WHAT i LIKE ABOUT wALDEN.

Online work is challenging as i am working fulltime and attending classes, however the professors have been very helpful and answer any questions i may have and try to attend and resolve any issues present too.

The opportunity to interact with multicultural students are great. The advisors an pleasant and professional. I give Walden an A+

Looking forward to this experience. For I have not had the chance as of yet to experience the above as the other students have. If it does not work for me I will plan to move ahead somewhere else.

I have found many people in my course are from all over the world. It is very interesting to hear about their culture as well as their experiences. i agree that the staff give so much help to make sure you get what you need.

I agree that you learn so much from the diversity that attends Walden online. The fast-paced classes keep you on your toes, so you HAVE to be committed.

I agree with the statements, you do have to purchase own books but you can find them elsewhere not just the bookstore from the school.

I think the tech fees are very high. I agree with meeting students from different cultures. The advisers and counselors are very knowledgeable

The course are 12 weeks very fast paced, but it is a very interesting learning environment. I give them an A.

Excellent communication with advisors and professors.

The support and education I get from this university worth much more than the amount of time money I can pay.

It's always good to be open to new ideas. I agree with so many various cultures new views and ideas are in an abundance. The financial aide and other advisors assist beyond the call of duty.

I wish I could get through those. I would probably stop the next sem.

Amber, I am starting my MSN-FNF program in about 2 weeks(Dec.3rd). So far, I am loving this school. Walden is by far the most inexpensive and affordable program that I found when I was researching on schools to attend for my graduate studies. By the way, I checked out a lot of schools. The admission process is so easy and straight forward. The admission advisers are awesome and they call you almost every week to update you on what is going on. You don't have to worry about buying your books in that they will send you the required books 2 weeks before the semester starts. Financial aid was very straight forward and I did not need to speak with anyone in the financial aid office. They also register your courses for you so you don't have to worry about which classes to register. I will be carrying 10 credit hours every quarter lasting for 12 weeks. So far I love what I have experienced with Walden. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much! I think I'm going to aim for the March start date.

no I have not

I have not participated in the Familt Nursing Practitioner Program.

No

I'm in that program now. It is very fast paced and very challenging. We are always writing papers, researching, and participating in discussions, but it is definitely worth the cost.

Thank you for the info! I hope the program is going well still

I dont' know anyone in this program but someone in the Nursing Masters program.

I have not participated, but I have heard great things about it.

No

Generally speaking, how long will it take to complete a EdD program at Walden?

From the beginning of my enrolment until the classroom where I was engaged with other students nad instructors at this university,I experienced a warm welcome which charged me to love to move forward to the highest degree with this university.

No I have not! Sorry!

This is not a program that I was interested in but I'm sure will offer that same high impact feeling towards goals set forward in working toward your degree.

I cannot answer truthfully answer that since I am in Human Services/Criminal justices.

I have not participated in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Walden. I did have a classmate that was going for that major and she enjoyed the program and said it was very convenient for her and that she enjoyed the set up of the major.

Not that I know of.

I am not sure. I am attending the MSN, Education track.

Walden University has provided me a very well rounded education.

Walden University gives me the opportunity to work full time, whille pursuing my eduacation.

I love going online to enhance my career. I would not be able to do that due to work. This gives everyone an opportunity to go back to school in your spare time and advance in your career.

I agree, I like the experience with the online classes and the many resources Walden has for its students

Danielle,

Online courses have been the best method for me because my work schedule isn't consistent. Also, it allows me to spend time with my family as well. I love the flexibility in these courses.

I agree with you 100%. It does help to continue your education while still having the ability to work full time and take care of your family.

Online courses do provide a great learning experience, flexibility with work and family schedules, and the challenge of developing great time management skills.

Online classes are the best for people who work full-time, have a family and don't have time set in a class room. The downside is that you don't have the classmate interaction, which is good when you just have a quick question.

I coudn't not agree more. I have had a great experience thus far and I am about to start my 3rd quarter.

I agree that the online classes at Walden is truly a wonderful experience. I can further my studies while my family life is not disrupted.

online classes olow me time to learn while working for my family

I agree I have more time to spend with my family and work full time.

I also find that I am able to manage my time well and complete everything that school requires of me as well as my usual life.

Online learning has been a great experience. I wouldn't change it for anything. I have time to work and be here for my family.

i agree online allows me to work which is how i finance my studies.

I find the Walden University reasonable with my med school schedule. I am currently taking a PhD/ MD- dual degree program.

Online classes are very good because you keep your own pace with your studies where you can design your work on the time table for each day.

I enjoy going to school online because of its convenience.

I do agree. Classes don't interfere with my work schedule. I work full time and have no problem getting assignments done.

The flexibility of the program allow me to have a full life.

I am also attending the online classes for my Masters of Science Degree. The online classes make it easier to get a good quality education when it is impossible to attend the campus.

I haven't actually started classes yet, so I don't have a really positive or negative opinion yet. I hope they continue staying in contact with me frequently. Everyone is quick to respond to emails & questions I have

I Love Walden as a doctoral student

I too have only positive feedback about the faculty and staff at Walden University.

Great for Working Adults. Makes going back to school an attainable reality for a Master's Degree.

As an international student the support from Walden's faculty and staff was exemplary. They contacted me when necessary and walked me through any problems I was experiencing.

I am an international student and thus far my experience has been good the staff has been very supportive and classmates both helpful and engaging. I will soon do my residency and i am looking forward to it.

I am also a CES major and I completed residency one. It was nice to puts faces with names.

I lover everything about Walden except the financial aid department!

As a ED Tech major, I have received support from faculty, peers, residency, and my professors. Class discussions have provided great insight and classroom experiences that has helped me to gain a deeper understanding and knowledge of my field.

I agree that the staff is very supportive seeing that I am a online student.

I also have only received support from faculty and staff at Walden. Sometimes, faculty don't respond as quickly as needed and it is also hard to get in touch with them.

I agree, Walden is a great university and they have always been there when I have a question. They are quick to respond and help their students.

The Walden faculty and staff are very responsive. They listen to students and continually add courses that may help a student on their journey.

I have major support from the school staff, classmates and family.

The Instructors, Support Team, Tutors, and all other staff members are outstandingly loving, patient, polite and frindly.

I am a graduate student in a mental health counseling program in which I have received a lot of insight from Walden administrators. Residency I and II were very helpful in which I received additional information about licensure.

Walden University is a great learning community. I agree that Residencies are great. The face-to-face complements the learning that takes place online.

I pray to God that God will inteve to help me in seeking for scholarship to continue my studies and study with Walden University.

Yes, Walden staff is very helpful. Residency was wonderfully and I met many new friends.

This is a good opportunity to pursue my Doctor of Business Administration.

It is not so easy to cope with the work load, but the learning and the gains from each week's learning resources and instructors comments are great sources of encouragements at Walden University.

I could not agree more! Between family and work, it works out perfectly!

I enjoy most of the discussion activity with other students. Unfortunately, the quality of the discussion varies by course; and with instructor. However, I have been able to learn a great deal from most of my interaction with other students.

I agree that it works perfectly with my schedule. I am excited about my courses also.

As a fulltime employee and mother I enjoy the flexibilty of the online classes

Online courses are great for busy family and work life. Also, easy to keep on track with courses during frequent military moves.

I really enjoy online school because I can have a flexible schedule which works with my full time job.

I like that I can work from where I can bring my laptop. I can work from anywhere!

I can work on my schedule, as much or as little as I have time for whenever I can. It is the perfect classroom, my questions are answered in a timely manner.

I agree; courses laid out where my busy schedule and constant travel don't seem to be an issue because of the online structure.

You don't have to worry about the time, money and energy it takes commuting to and from a class. It's great to work from home in your own free time. Deadlines are enforced but that's the life of a working professional. You have deadlines!

Online helps me to achieve my goals while working full time, its still a lot of work but more flexible and easier to manage than full time class.

The perfect way to accomplish your goals with flexability and determination.

I love online classes. It helps me gain an upper hand with the competitive career market.

Very convenient with a full time job and as a wife and mother. I love the flexibility of it all

I agree. I work my fulltime work schedule around my studies at Walden.

The work is designed in such a way that even a student who finds it difficult to grasp most of the information, can be engaged actively in school and classroom activities.
