Most Overlooked Teams
The mountain biking team works hard and wins awards, but since most of their events are a distance away from campus, spectators are few.
School Spirit
Wilson has changed a lot since its farm school days, and it is incredibly eye-opening to see the original boys come back for Homecoming. WWC students are advised to respect the history of this land and realize that it has been an influential place throughout all of its evolutions. Students who come to Wilson and stay recognize its flaws and difficulties, but have a deep love for what it attempts to accomplish.
Getting Tickets
You should have little trouble attending athletic events at WWC-all sporting events are free.
Best Place to Take a Walk
The river trail and Jones Mountain are favorites among students and community members, and the 25 miles of trails, meditation hut and garden, farmland, and forest offer countless opportunities for communing with nature.
Did You Know?
The Outdoor Programs crew takes groups of students on outdoor adventures. Paddling trips are popular, as well as snowboarding, snow skiing, hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, and rock climbing. Kayak roll practice takes place in the pool every Wednesday. Most trips are geared toward beginners, and once you have some experience under your belt, it is easy to find other students who are interested in more challenging trips.
