Not Overly Strict

School policies are enforced when there is an obvious breach. However, there aren't officials going out of their way to find any breaches, so when an individual gets in trouble for doing something wrong, there is a high chance that they were doing something seriously wrong or being really dumb about it. Parking enforcement fines are the only point where the school's policies are out of hand.

Parking on Campus

I feel that having a car on campus is not exactly necessary, but it is definately a great convenience. There is not a lot to do within walking distance so its great to drive to other places, such as downtown Pittsburgh, to find something to do. A shuttle is provided to a shopping center during the week, but only for short periods of time so it's rather inconvenient. Parking is free which is great and availability of parking spaces is good, however, the parking lots themselves are not exactly in convenient locations.

Academics

The professors are all well educated and usually very interested in the topics they are teaching and we get a lot of specialized attention from having small classes. The workloads are very weighted in some classes, and very little in others. Harder ones seem to be the sciences and law classes, but those are also some of the most popular to take.
