Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

The first week freshmen get to campus, the food seems awesome, and then two weeks later when the exact menu is repeated, it begins to get a little old. W&J’s dining halls are run by Parkhurst dining, which if you are from Western Pennsylvania, owns Eat'n Park, a local restaurant chain. In the past few years, the food on campus has gotten much better and offers more of a variety now, probably due to the many student complaints. There are now more vegan options and even some organic choices for students.

Due to responses from the student satisfaction surveys taken every year, G&T's now has a deli option, "Salad By Design," and different specials throughout the month, like sushi. In the Commons there are also cool features like brick-oven pizza and student choice week. While it may get a little repetitive, the food options at W&J are really not all that bad. When choosing a meal plan, though, it is almost always better to choose the biggest option unless you can get on the commuter plan. The price difference between the plans is relatively small in relation to how many more meals you get for the bigger plan, so the best deal is usually the biggest plan.

Diverse but Gets Old

There is generally a wide variety of choices; from a salad bar, brick-oven pizza, rotating salad, potato, and macaroni bar, sandwiches made to order, a grill, and entrees that change daily. Quality is slightly above average for college food, but after a while the food gets repetitive and loses appeal.

Decent

With only two places to eat on campus the options are limited, however, they do a pretty good job of changing up the options at the commons.

Dining Choices

The food and choices are really good and they do their best to provide fresh and local food. Compared to other schools we have a VERY responsive dining team and a wide variety of options :)
