Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

You are far more likely to get in trouble with an RA than you are with campus security. The security guards are fairly lenient when it comes to underage drinking. This does not, however, equate with total permissiveness. Unless you’re being destructive or unruly, they won’t typically ask for your ID or give you a citation. Unfortunately for the rest of us, some people just can’t control themselves and end up breaking something or trying to pick a fight, and that’s when the guards have to crack down a little harder on everyone. We do have more than our fair share of booze hounds, but most stay on security’s good side. The guards know that we take advantage of our party time while we’re in college, and they don’t go out of their way to take that away from us. They are, however, concerned for our well-being and the safety of others, as well as of campus property. They do make more allowances than many of us deserve, but they also know when to exercise their authority. Most of us recognize this and comply with their orders when they feel the need to issue them and this makes things run smoothly. Just remember, security guards are not just here for decoration—they’re here to keep the quality of life at the college up and make all of our times here more enjoyable and more pleasant. Be nice to them, and they’ll be nice to you.

Campus Strictness

W&J is not strict about anything but academics. They keep us to a rigorous academic pace, but outside the classroom, W&J treats us as adults, and does not restrict our behavior.

Somewhat Strict Depending on What It Is

Haven't experienced the campus being strict about social things. They are very strict about transfer credits. Unnecessarily strict.
