Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Those students who go looking for drugs will most likely find them pretty easily. However, outside of alcohol, most students don’t partake in drug use and have no interest in it. There are not any heavy drug users on campus because they simply couldn’t survive at a strongly academic school like W&J, but there are some students who use marijuana or "study drugs" like Adderall. These types of drugs are not just stumbled upon, though, and those who do not wish to be involved with or pressured to use drugs will have no problem avoiding it.

Alcohol consumption, on the other hand, is prevalent on campus. The campus is "wet," so those who are 21 and over are allowed to have alcohol in their dorm rooms. Security patrols dorms throughout the week (especially on weekends) for anyone who is drinking underage, but mostly they aren’t looking to get students in trouble. They just want everyone to be safe. Students shouldn’t underestimate security, though, because if they catch you causing problems, there will be repercussions.

Drinking Trumps Drugs

The drug scene at W&J isn't big, although it depends on who you hang out with. If people are doing drugs it's usually just smoking but most students just drink and go out to the frats.

Too Smart for Drugs

Drugs aren't really that common from what I see at dub jay. I mean there are the few kids who do them but most are too smart to get involved in anything serious. No one lets it interfere with their education and sometimes the kids who are into drugs, are absolutely brilliant.
