| Advice on Finding a Job/Internship | |
Career Services is the first place to go when looking for internships or career advice, but few students go to the office before senior year. This is a waste of one of the college’s greatest resources, though. The best thing to do is go and talk to them as soon as you can your freshman year. This way, the Career Services advisers are able to have three more years to help you find internships, and when it does come time for finding your first job, they already know you well and are able to help you make the best career decision. Professors are also a great resource when it comes to internships or jobs. They not only keep in contact with many of the alumni, but they also have friends in all sorts of fields who can help you find a job.
