Financial Aid at W&J

As far as general aid goes, I had no problems whatsoever. There were some problems with my work/study funding once I got a job as an RA, but they were quickly solved with either a phone call or an in-person meeting. The system could use small adjustments.

They Try to Help

I didn't have problems applying for financial aid, and I did receive a scholarship. My only complaint was with some qualifications with Federal Work Study and the availability of on-campus jobs.

Advice on Financial Aid

The financial aid office tries its hardest to help students; all you have to do is ask. Washington & Jefferson offers academic scholarships, and try to help those students in need as much as possible. Although the school is expensive, financial aid tries to work with students to bring down the cost as much as possible. The best thing for new students to do, is to go to the financial aid office and ask for help. They are there to help students with everything from finding new loans to helping students fill out applications. The most important part, though, is going to ask for help as soon as a question arises.
