There are many opportunities available in the psychology department...internships are a great way to get involved! Internships can be done over the summer or can be done during the year. Research experience is also available in many classes, which is what graduate schools look for. The professors are amazing and enjoy helping the students anytime! Their doors are always open, and even if they are busy, they always take time to address issues.

Professors here are actually pretty helpful and are always looking to help you even more. Many of them will have posted office hours but will sometimes encourage you to pop in whenever if you have a question. There are definitely the professors to avoid but those are few. Ask around for the professors to take because some professors here definitely make the class you are taking ten times better then it would have been.

The academics at this school are great. The small class sizes are so beneficial in terms of professor and student relationship... very easy to get help and support with grades etc. For a small school, WAC does a great job at providing lots of academic help on campus such as the library, tutors, writing center, math center, etc. Overall, GREAT

The political science department is very strong at Washington College, particularly with Mitchel Reiss as the president. His connections as well as many of the poli sci professors credentials and real-life involvement in political science make the program top-notch.
