It's always nice to venture off campus to find a more exotic, romantic, or classy atmosphere for dining. Fortunately, St. Louis offers a wide variety of cuisine, from Thai and Vietnamese to Jamaican, Brazilian, and German. A number of fine restaurants lie within walking distance of the campus, especially in Clayton (Miso, and Il Vicino are some student favorites). The University City Loop is popular, as well. More exotic cuisine usually requires a car trip, however. For example, the fabulous Rasoi, located in the Central West End, or Yemanja Brasil, nestled deep in midtown St. Louis on Pestalozzi, are both must-eats but are not within walking distance.
Affordable, quick meals are certainly available in the nearby Loop area. Everyone who discovers the Middle Eastern flavors of Cunetto's and Al-Tarboush becomes a regular customer. And Addi's offers more refined dining for a date or for dinner with visiting relatives just a few blocks from campus. In all, with some looking, diners will find that almost every range of price, flavor, and atmosphere imaginable exists among St. Louis restaurants.
