My online courses were virtually painless because WCTC does an awesome job of preparing students for online courses.

My overall experience (so far) is terrific. I love the fact that the teachers and counselors are open to talk at any time. Homework is kept at a minimum at the tests/ quizzes come frequently to keep track of a student's progress. Some students think that WCTC is expensive and it takes an arm and a leg but truth be told that they offer several different types of scholarships and grants that can cover several areas of study. They also assist with a student's GED. I would recommend WCTC for anyone if they really want to start somewhere small or if they want a place to start before going to a University or Campus college because WCTC offers a 2 by 2 plan where a student can earn 2 year credits there and continue 2 years at another college or university.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I had no applied for any financial help to be in WCTC because I have a scholarship that I had won in high school worth $600 but I am now applying for many opportunities to collects scholarships and grants so I can take online classes through Kaplan College in Milwaukee WI.

I have not taken any of the online courses at WCTC because I am working from my Pre-Tech class until mid winter where I will transfer to a CNA course that includes clinical work.

Professors know what they're talking about since they work in that field which makes them great teachers. It's just that some of them are not flexible and give really weird answers when you try to email them.

Again, I love my degree that I am going for (Web and Digital Media Design). I like studying how the web works and designing for the web. There's a ton of work that goes with it and you've got to keep up the pace, otherwise you'll fall behind and fail.

With working full time, a close college that is affordable is really nice. I enjoy my time at school. The only issue is, there are not enough teachers for programming classes, so if you don't take one a certain semester you're stuck waiting a full year to take that class.

The learning center is very helpful if you need extra support to make your way through college. Teachers I have are very nice and to the point but yet helpful when needed.

I think W.C.T.C was very helpful considering this Spring was my first semester in college. Everyone was so nice and willing to get me in every aspect of my enrollment and education. I also think they charge a decent price for the type of education you receive. I love going to W.C.T.C, and plan to finish future years to come in college with them.

pretty easy to use as long as you know how to use blackboard and microsoft word, and most of all email from blackboard. I did have a few assignments go to the "unused" email of my professor.

good mix of students, very helpful to each other and so are the professors. course availability is what attracts me to this school right now. hard compacted courses though.

The advisors are very involved in the students achievements and willing to help. When you are struggling they offer a support system or at worst resources to help you improve.

You will find a varied student body which is very nice. For the most part everyone is polite and wiling to help. The students seem very "real" and involved with the programs they are in.
College Senior 2013-02-20T03:52:03Z
Though I do not utilize all the campus resources the campus does a good job of making them available and known. The majority of the student body seems very involved.

Abundance of useful tools/resources around campus.
College Senior 2013-02-20T03:47:09Z
I feel that the resources on campus are useful. On occasion there are not enough computers available but for the most part they are all up and running and the tech support is willing to answer questions.

Deans list up until the actual nursing classes. Teacher have no interest in working with student. Most nursing instructors are lazy, and as you go through the program they just want to weed out student they don't like regardless of their performance.

Coming out of a Private high school, the academics at Waukesha County Technical College are wonderful.

All of the classes and professors are very flexible to a busy schedule, and especially for a single mother. It is a school with a friendly and welcoming enviroment to all of it's students!!

professors are on the field of study you are interested in which to me, it's an great and important thing to have as a university.

I am a Human Service Associate major. My classes are definitely what I expected. Some people complain about not being able to get into the classes they need when registration comes, but I have avoided those pitfalls thus far. The instructors in the program are great! They definitely do their best to give us plenty of exposure to the work field in Human Services and try to prepare us for those things in the classroom. If you're a social person, like I am, then this is the program to make friends in as well. Everyone is compassionate and hard working and the students are extremely helpful with one another.
If you need help, the instructors are more than happy to assist you, but they expect you to pull your weight in the program. They won't ask you if you need help, you must take initiative and responsibility for your own grade and competencies. I love this program. Until I entered an actual program, I was displeased with WCTC but now that I am pursuing the degree there, it has been great.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
