Ive heard of people drinking and of parties, which is typical for a college, but not as bad as other colleges my friends attend.

Health & Safety:
I always come across a campus security while walking through campus, therefor I feel safe, because I know they're doing their job.

I commute to college, and generally don't eat on campus. I will occasionally get a bagel or coffee, which is pretty delicious.
College Senior 2013-10-14T01:39:23Z
I found no difficulties or challenges in becoming part of my program. The most important criteria was gpa.

There really isn't any transportation because you can walk anywhere in Wayne because of the location of the school. On Wednesday and Thursday though there is a transportation service for anyone which is really nice...

I transfered to Wayne State from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, so when I went to register for classes I was upset that there were so few choices. I was used to taking fun electives that I was interested in (such as Black Studies Class and Gerontology), but at Wayne those classes are out of the picture.

I'm studying Spanish and luckily my student advisor is my spanish professor. I enjoy him very much he is a wonderful teacher who is full of life. I am involved in the Spanish club as well meaning that if my financial aid goes through I will be able to travel to Costa Rica with the rest of my class to study next summer!

The drug scene at Wayne State is not noticeable. I have not heard of anyone doing drugs nor have I ever been offered any. Alcohol though is a different story. I hear of students drinking once a week, it is much more popular.
College Sophomore 2013-08-03T00:58:24Z
I transfered second semester and my financial aid was promised to me a week or two after I started classes. I waited almost three months before I recieved it. I had to call over and over again. I suggest staying on top of calling about financial aid and meeting with your financial advisor multipe times to make sure all goes well

Though there aren't a lot of restaurants in Wayne (it is a town of 5,000) there is enough to deserve a good rating. We have a Mexican place, a Chinese place, a pizza hut, a subway, a burger joint and a few smaller restaurants. If you're hungry for something, I'm sure we'd be able to fix that!
College Sophomore 2013-07-31T15:51:01Z
The campus cafeteria is amazing. I'm a little disappointed that they took the taco bell out of the lower cafeteria but other then that, no complaints. The food does get old if you've eaten there for two weeks nonstop. I would recommend the smallest meal plan because Wayne also has a few good restaurants as well.

Varsity sports are big at Wayne State. Especially Softball, Football & Rugby. We have very good teams and even better fans. Inter-murals are popular too, almost all students participate in them one way or another.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
