The financial aid process was not difficult and did not cause any enduring difficulties. I am concerned that I have taken out a significant amount of student loans in the process and would like to capitalize more on scholarships and grant opportunities.

I received a good amount of aid, with just a few thousand dollars left over, and overall, the process went smoothly. However, before the beginning of my freshman year, Financial Aid notified me, three times, that I had not turned in a particular form (which I had turned it, so they lost it somehow). If I was to give any advice, it would be to stay on top of things, and check in with financial aid often, especially if you aren't getting notification about your award status as quickly as you should be. Before this school year, I made the mistake of waiting too late in the summer to submit the required forms. I ended up receiving less than I expected, and had to appeal for more, putting me quite a few weeks behind. And if you have questions, don't be afraid to call the Financial Aid office, or sit down with your assigned advisor!

I felt like it was a struggle. I transferred here from another school. I was under the impression that everything was fine but when the time came for me to start school I discovered that my financial aide had not went through. I called in alarm and asked why no one notified me and they stated that all that was my responsibility. I understand it is a large school but I was used to the other school procedures. They would notify you. Fortunately, after everything was fixed I was able to start the Fall semester without any hesitations.

Scholarships are hard to find. I a currently having trouble finding some through Webster. They offer a majority of their scholarships to freshman and transfer student (I am neither). This is not fair because I maintain a nice GPA and need help paying for school. They need more scholarships for every group of students.
