Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

The parking garage has made students feel better about the campus parking situation, but they’re still a bit annoyed that it’s all located on one side of campus. Although faculty and staff parking is scattered around, students in the New Dorms have to walk across campus to reach the student lots and the Wang Campus Center, and underclasswomen face an extra couple minutes' walk to DC lot by the athletic fields.

Although it may be a trek to the lots, parking is plentiful and comparatively cheap. The inconvenience of hiking to your assigned lot is much less than the inconvenience of not having a car, and by senior year, you’ll have a nice cushy spot in the parking garage.

Parking at Wellesley

There are 3 public spots to park, but one of the lots is only open on weekends or after 6pm on weekdays. The Davis garage always has a ton of spaces for public parking, and all parking is free.

To Car or Not to Car

after your first year you are allowed a car on campus, and there is a small parking fee for the year, but it's totally manageable and makes it easier to get in and out of the city. Parking is generally very accessible, and there are other ways to get on and off campus if you don't have a car.

Facts

Getting a Parking Permit

Seniors and commuter students recieve priority permits for the Davis Parking Facility, and are also allowed to park in Founders Lot and Library spaces after business hours and on weekends. Commuters also have their own lot. Seniors who live in the New Dorms, Dower, Homstead, Instead, Dower, Orchard Apartments, and Stone-Davis are entered into the Dower Lottery to compete for spots in the Dower Lot. Juniors and sophmores are assigned to DC Lot.

Best Places to Find a Parking Spot
In your assigned lot, otherwise, you’ll be ticketed! If you decide to sneak your car onto campus and not get registered, you’ll be put on the tow list after the second or third ticket; for registered students, five tickets gets you on the tow list. And believe it, they do tow!

Good Luck Getting a Parking Spot Here!
Anywhere on campus other than student lots—all other lots are for faculty, staff, and commuter students.
