My experience at the college I attend is great. The teachers are really nice and very supportive, and most staff is always willing to help when you need them. When I transferred to West Coast University, my credits easily transferred and the whole process was quick. Although I would have to say that this school is really expensive and I do not like the classes that are in the middle of the day; I would prefer if they were either in the early morning or afternoon.

west coast is culturally diverse. Diversity is great!

students are nice. Compared to city colleges west coast is very advance because they have computers in most classrooms and professors expect you to know how to use different aspects of the computer.

Everything is pretty organized compared to city colleges and classes are always available. Teachers are strict but very informative. the days here are long because it an accelerated program which means you have to spend more time on campus to complete a class in 9 weeks.

i dont know much but i do know that a lot of our graduates go come back to our masters program. so i think its safe to assume there is quality in the education here.

nursing is really the only major at my school. but the best part about it, is that there is no waiting list. and that alone is AN AMAZING REASON

besides for a few unreachable financial aid assistants, this school is pretty much on top of everything. when there is a problem, they fix it in no time

honestly online classes at west coast are very convenient if you work or have kids. you learn everything you have to, in a very simpler way. its a great way to a class

Tuition & Financial Aid:
In my opinion, the education I receive, is well worth the amount of tuition. In the long run, I will be able to reap the benefits of a well paid career that is always in high demand. Gaining a degree makes all the difference in this world today. The Financial Aid office helps step by step. The employees help to calculate cost of school, how much financial aid will provide in helping pay for school, but also different payment options. They give you the option of applying for a loan. They also have payment plan options that break down the price of tuition per month. I do have to admit that the price for 3 years of school is a lot, but in the end, and if you have the funds and are willing to put in the time and effort, it's all worth it.

Because class schedules are chosen for you, flexibility of hours and your own personal agenda would have to work around your class hours. Coming into the program, staff and counselors make it clear that with attending West Coast University, SCHOOL comes first. So, being prepared to take less hours at work might have to be an option. As for me, I was completely aware of the hours i needed to dedicate to school, so I am now a full time student. As for transferring credits, being prepared with official transcripts, makes the transfer credits process easy. Overall my experience with West Coast University has been an enjoyable one.

We have a variety of students at the Dallas campus, which is great!

Every resource seems reasonable at the Dallas campus.

We have a great group of personnel that help us in any way possible.

I haven't taken any online courses yet. Only taken classes at the Dallas campus.

I will see when I get my class schedule and start my classes

I haven't started yet so I can't discuss this topic
College Sophomore 2013-07-08T19:39:42Z
The campus resources seem helpful. They have a library, almost every classroom has a computer for each student, and there are tutors there to help you succeed.

The counselors are very helpful when it comes to answering any questions or concerns. I haven't started the BSN program yet, but I'm very excited and looking forward to it.

I love my school because as long as you have the drive to learn, they want to teach you. They want you to know everything about everything and will take time out of their day to make that happen for you. But, and this is a serious but, they have very, very high standards. If you miss more than a couple classes you fail, tardy even once? They embarass you and in order to pass, you need a 76% or higher unlike the usual 70%. But if you love nursing like I do, and can't wait to help everyone and anyone who wants your help, this school is it for you.

I was anxious to start to see the difference of other nursing schools compared to WCU.
Recent Alumnus 2013-03-01T17:50:55Z
Study Body – Most of students are either nursing or dental hygiene students. Now all of my classes are nursing students. The student body seems to be mostly asian and then whites. I do not know of peoples religion or sexual preferences, these are never issues.

THey did not transfer a ton of my classes and made me retake them at their school solely so that they could charge me more. I had to retake classes that I took at a local community college and the pre-reqs at WCU were an absolute joke!! They were insanely easy and cost me a fortune. I don't know why they didn't transfer my difficult classes. Well, I do, they wanted more money
College Senior 2013-02-24T01:02:12Z
Class Availability – I'm giving them a B- because of how they discourage other college credits from being transferred into the school. I, along with other students, do not like the fact that they want you to re-take classes that you've already taken at another school because "they teach more of it" or "they teach it differently."
College Senior 2013-02-24T00:57:28Z
Unique Program – They offer an accelerated B.Sc. in Nursing program that includes prerequisite courses, which most schools do not offer, and with that being said, there is no waitlist to get in. The students there are going to be part of your huge support system because they understand the pressure that you are going through.

Accessibility to online course material and the professor is very good; however, like most online courses, it is self taught. Regardless, I think the content and the student-teacher/student-student interaction is superb.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
