Our school has a career center that helps get you in find jobs by holding job fairs.

The professors are great. They know what they are teaching and really help you understand the material. They are always there to help when you need it. Now we are able to choose are own times and instructors which makes it a lot better for people who have jobs. Our school offers workshops that help with things like note taking, test taking and time management.

I am a Nursing major. The classes are what I expected and challenging due to the 9 week schedule. There is a lot of work that is given but the work is easy to understand. The campus is very nice but a little small. The school holds career fairs that helps graduates come into contact with many hospitals from around the school

I have to say that every instructor/professor that taught my class were more than helpful. You can make an appointment to meet with the instructor during their hours, email them if you have any questions, or even call them if they provide their work phone number. They are more than happy to help you should you have any questions. They registration has improved. You no longer have your classes/courses chosen for you, and so you can choose which class you wish to be in. Of course, it's a first come, first serve basis, and they fill up quick (but that's standard for any university). My only complaint is that they do not have online class registration, which they should implement soon.

They have a wonderful career/student center. They are always hosting Career and Job fairs on campus and notify us at least 1-2 weeks in advanced. They also recommend other websites that we can utilize to network with companies, employers, and other licensed practitioners.

The resources and facilities on campus are appropriate for the programs that are available at this school. For instance, an athletic center is not required; rather, they have a Simulation Lab for Nursing students that is by far one of the best I've ever seen managed by a really good group of IT personnel. Their library is small, but it is alright for now. They may have to expand it soon because 15+ computers with an 8am-5pm schedule will most likely not be for long.
College Senior 2012-12-20T03:06:38Z
They have I think 15+ computers on campus inside their library, however it is not open 24/7. Most traditional universities offer 24 hour libraries and/or computer labs which are very helpful especially to those who do not have access to a computer right away. I think a lab that is 24/7 would be great, especially for a program that requires you to study twice as many hours in addition to your classes. There is also room for improvement for their access to a printer and copy machine. The computer classrooms have printers, but we are "not allowed" to print from there anymore (I don't know why). And the library only has one printer. One printer that services the ENTIRE campus for students is not enough.

Unorganized Scheduling, Poor Communication – It has been a frustrating and difficult experience so far regarding class scheduling, grades, instructors, and many other things overall. Many times there have been changes in schedules and delays in grades that were not properly communicated toward the students, sometimes completely overlooked. A serious concern is the amount of concern there is for students because many times it seems very scant.

The school provides a good range of resources to help you thru all classes.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The education I'm getting is great, but the finacial hole that the school tuition is putting me in is overwhelming.

Classroom online is pretty easy and straightforward. A lot of the students do online classes to get it out of the way.

WCU is very flexible when it comes to students. They were just granted WASC accreditation and it has eased a lot of the students minds on transferring.

Ahead of the Curve – I love how the school caters to every student's needs. They make sure that we are endowed with the best possible teachers possible. Albeit the school can be difficult, but the rewards that you get from it lasts a lifetime.

School Experience – Overall I was pleased with the school and their curriculum. One of my frustrations was the fact that I was unable to transfer one of my classes which had the same objectives as the one at west coast university. The reason I chose west coast university was the fact that from day one I had known exactly what classes I will be taking and how my schedule will be set up until the day of graduation . I was very pleased with the fact that I wasn't put on a waiting list and Classes were organized enough for me to know what I was forward to.

Unique Aspects of Your Program – I am in BSN program at West Coast University. This is accelerated program and presumably, curriculum is very condense. However, Professors, Staff, especially Deans are very helpful. They have student concentric goal to help you.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Financial aid office works very operative. If any problem, they let you know on time and then help you fix it so that you do not get behind your classs-semester schedule because of financial issue.

West Coast University -- Ontario Campus – Unfortunately, there wasn't an option for the Ontario Campus so this review is based only on that location. I have mixed feelings about the school; however, I think I will eventually get my money's worth. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the advisor you initially meet with will help you with anything that you need when it comes to signing up, orientation, financial aid, and so forth all the way until your first day of class. The tuition is just like paying for a private institution, but one thing I like about this campus is that most of their training is very hands on and visual. I am that type of person, and I love that kind of environment where I am actually performing what they will be teaching me. I do have some doubts, and overall I give them a B+.
One reason why I'm giving them a B+ is because of a few of their professors. While they are well-educated, and while they promote an open-line communication with their students, I feel that they aren't "teaching" me. Some of them chime in with their own personal experiences, but there are times when I need to ask them to explain what this "text" means, not paraphrase or read it directly from the book and repeat it back to me.
Another reason I'm giving them a B+ is how they discourage other college credits from being transferred into the school. I, along with other students, do not like the fact that they want you to re-take classes that you've already taken at another school because "they teach more of it" or "they teach it differently."
But in the long run, I know I will get my money's worth. Why? The environment is amazing. I love the other students who are going to be graduating with me (in 2014) because we are all going in the same direction to help each other and support each other. The support system within the school is a tremendous help to me. I also know that my money is at least going somewhere -- they've recently expanded and have added a Simulation Laboratory that will allow us to get that feel of how it might be like at an actual hospital. Given the impact this field has had in many other colleges, I'm grateful for the opportunity they have given me.

Most of the students at school are asian, although there are students of other ethnicities. I believe this is because of the location of the campus. Students are always studying for their classes. Everyone seems to be very involved with their academics.

Wireless Access and Printing on Campus – The school provides students with access to the internet through wifi and library computers. Students are also able to print on campus through the library. Students do, however, have to pay a fee per page printed.

Private School – Since this is a trade school there isn't much student body. I wish the school was more student body based because I think a lot more student issues would be addressed better.

Procrastination Equals Death – The workload is insane at this college. It really shows who slacks and procrastinates. Those who are lazy and procrastinate usually end up dropping out of this school. The online courses are great because I get to do my own work at my own pace at my own time. The software program that the school uses is very user friendly.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
