My school offeres a career service department that helps you get intouch with new grad programs. They also do a monthly posting on what hospitals are hiring and in what departments. There is no alumni program.

Online Class – The online classess are set up great. They make them very easy to log in and follow what assignments are due each week. There is also a lot of interaction between other students. All the professors are very easy to get a hold of and contact!

We have a good computer lab along with single computer work stations. The internet usually has a good connection, however the wireless often doesnt work. As for printing we have a large copy/printer taht works great!! There is no need for a personal computer but it makes things easier!

No Waiting List – The reason why I chose this university was because they have a great nursing program and you don't have to worry about waiting 2-3 years to get into the nursing program unlike other colleges/universities nowadays.
They schedule all your classes so everything is planned out for you from your first day till the day you graduate. I like how the program is accelerated and you are guaranteed a spot in the nursing program as long as you pass your classes.

The Student Body at WCU comprises of people of all ages and all ethnic backgrounds. Since WCU is a primarily a nursing school, it is quite inspiring to know that everyone is working towards the same goal and it is quite evident. Everyone is really friendly and focused on advancing into the nursing program so it creates bond between everyone at WCU.
It's just a shame that WCU does not offer any outside Student Body activities/clubs to help fortify student interactions outside of class.

Teachers Equal Student Success – WCU has a great teaching staff requiring that all faculty possess a master's degree in their primary fields of study.
They are all very knowledgeable and helpful and keep you motivated in performing well in your classes.
Albeit there are some teachers that aren't so great, it still doesn't change the fact that they are all gifted in their respected fields and it is often translated in student success.

I like how this school is fast paced. Although, I am not too happy in the way academic rules are always being changed since it is a new program; it becomes a disadvantage to some students.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I havent really spent much time with the financial aid, but the time I did spend made me feel like the counselor didnt care.

There is nothing really special, they just got a Student body president, vice president, etc. I think they are trying to change things to be better for the students activity wise, but I will be done soon so I don't really pay attention.

I would choose the school again, because of the quick education you get. It is not for students who cannot do most of the learning on their own. There is alot of busy work and not enough teaching.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Too Little – This school does not give full information to it's potential students when they are trying to enroll. Things are made to sound better than they are. For the pre-requsites the teachers are very good, but when you are in the nursing classes,l which are the most important, the teachers don't give the information they should and mostly just want to give you enough information to pass their test.

Career Service Center – I have not had the chance to be able to use this service yet. I graduate in June. However, in this economy it is HARD to find a job at all. The career service center would be helpful, they cannot create jobs.

Very Diverse – The are every kind on our campus, male and female, younger and older, and every ethnic background. Most everyone is honest and professional, however there are a few (and I mean a few) people that have been caught cheating and are prepared to pass with or without the knowledge they need. However, there are some on every college campus in the US.

Private Nursing School – The school is an accelerated program to get you in and out and into the nursing field in a shorter amount of time than your community colleges or universities. Your spot for the next term is guaranteed, however for some the schedules are not flexible. I have the privilege at this time not to work. The classes may be a little too fast, like a cram session for the next term. My only complaint was a teacher that we had that was not providing us with a constructive class to learn quickly. The school did however respond to our complaints and we have a new teacher, but we are now so far behind....not sure if we can catch up because the terms are already so short.

I haven't taken a online course, but i heard that it is the same as going to school. It may be more flexible for others, so that is why people probably take online courses

Studying for this school has been tough, but the end results are fantastic. The school gives us two days of lecture and the rest of the week to study.

The staff are nice and helpful. Although, students don't usually communicate with the school's staff very often, when we need help they are there.

On-Line Courses – When appropriate, on-line courses are great. Saves a lot of commute time and gas expenses.

Great Professors – Love the dedication and passion the instructors have for sharing their knowledge!

Feeling Great About the Nursing Field – I have learned a lot while attending school here. The instructors have been great and have shared their passion for nursing with the students. I'm excited about my future options in the nursing field.

Available Computers and Printer – We have a small library with computers, and an available printer that we do not need to pay for. It's great that our school provides this luxury, and I feel that students really should not have to pay for printing school material. Our school recently installed wireless internet, which makes life easier. Internet on the available computers, as well as wireless internet could be much faster, but they are fairly reliable. I do have a personal laptop and printer at home, but I do have the option of using the school computers whenever I go to campus.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Education Is My Investment – The financial aid process was fairly smooth, and there are financial aid counselors ready to explain the tuition and answer any questions about loans. There was some difficulty in getting my student loans approved because of the paperwork. The tuition is very, very expensive, which is perhaps the biggest factor for many people who are considering this school. However, the education I receive is wonderful, and I feel like the smaller classroom sizes are great for a closer interaction with the teachers. I think of the expensive tuition as just an investment for the nursing career I will have at the end of the program, which in turn will allow me to pay back my student loans.

Difficulty Transferring Credits – I chose this school because of the flexibility of the classes as well as how accelerated the course is. I attended two different colleges before this one and some of my classes didn't transfer so that was a little frustrating. i don't think anything can outweight how convientent the school is and what they offer to their students

Uniquely Small – I have never seen a University class size so small! I love how one on one the classes are and how interactive each session is! I also love that the school is affiliated with about 20 different hospiitals where the students are able to have a flexible choice of where they choose to do their internships/clinical work.

High Acceptance Level – The school is rather small, however, the student body is extremely friendly and accepting. You don't really feel like a "number" at the school, but rather part of it. It's a peaceful and warm feeling everytime you walk onto the campus
Sorry, there are no reviews.
