Interviews & Information Sessions
Interviews are required for admission to West Point. They are usually conducted in the candidate's hometown by a Field Force member. The interviewers generally contact the candidates about scheduling the interview.
Campus Tours
There are candidate orientation visits available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday during the academic term. From 8:45 a.m. until 1 p.m., prospective students will accompany a current cadet to class, visit the barracks, and eat lunch in the mess hall. Prospective Weekend
Parade Reviews Parade Reviews (sometimes referred to as parades), part of the West Point tradition, instill discipline and order within the Corps of Cadets while fostering esprit de corps and camaraderie. Confirm review times by calling (845) 938-2638 on the day prior to the parade you plan to attend. Reviews may be subject to change or cancelled without prior notice. In the event of inclement weather, reviews will be cancelled.
Overnight Visits
An overnight candidate orientation visit is available to candidates who have received a Letter of Assurance or Offer of Admission to West Point. These overnight visits can be scheduled Monday through Friday during the academic term. Candidates will accompany a current cadet to class, spend a night in the barracks, and eat meals with the cadets in the mess hall. These visits are by appointment, and must be arranged at least two weeks in advance.
