Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

There are certainly a lot of options available for students to use their meal plans, and the food in the dining halls is all-you-can-eat. If students grow tired of eating the same meal three or four times a week, they can hop dining halls for a change or eat at the Mountainlair. The place on campus with the best meal-plan food is the Mountainlair Food Court. Unfortunately, quantities are small, as they do not follow in the all-you-can-eat format of the other dining halls.

The food served by campus dining is not exactly the healthiest option available. They will prepare vegetarian or other special requests, but they don’t really go out of their way to provide a better choice for students who may be looking for healthier entrees. Freshmen, as well as anyone else living in dorms, are required to have a meal plan but can pick the smallest one if they feel it will be adequate for their needs. Students can also get Mountie Bounty and Dining Dollars to use at places like McCoy’s. Although there are so many options for students to choose from, there is not much satisfaction with the dining halls. Eating in the dining halls is something that is not suggested for more than a year if it can be helped. It is definitely worth the hassle to cook your own meal.

There Could Be a Better Variety.

The choices are alright, but there could be more choices and more options to choose from.

What to Choose?

There are many places around Morgantown and on campus. Often it is hard to choose. You are not restricted with a meal plan either. Multiple dining halls and places where the meal plan is accepted.
