Guys & Girls:
There is a good mix of people at Westminster. And because it is so small here, you really get to know types people you may not have gotten to know at a larger school. Westminster students are the best!!!

They keep the sidewalks and everything clear when it snows and campus is so small so class never really gets cancelled. You just suffer through the snow.

There really are only 4 dining options off campus unless you want to drive 10 or so minutes away. In walking distance there is Pizza Joe's and some other local restaurants. I give it a B+ because there is nothing better than Pizza Joe's.

My freshman year I lived in Galbreath. I loved it. Perfectly placed in relation to everything on campus, huge closets!!! Shaw is also for freshman and the rooms are a little small but is in a great location. There are quite a few decent upper classmen options like Brown. I don't recommend Hillside unless you like bugs and a long walks up a steep hill.

New Wilmington is a very small town in PA. Its always quiet. There is only one stop light. You see Amish anywhere you go. There is a main street that has local shops and also a bank and a Rite Aid. It's a unique little town, come check it out!

I am not a big party person. I go occasionally. When i do go, it's fun. Parties are only on the weekends. During the school week, everyone focuses on their studies.

It snows a lot in the winter, but the classrooms and dorms are relatively close together.
College Sophomore 2013-10-18T17:55:56Z
many options to pick from. I give the cafeteria just above average. The staff is really nice and friendly.

Average in spring, cold in winter but not bitter cold or overly snowy.

Parking is available on the streets and in multiple parking lots.
College Sophomore 2013-07-30T00:32:59Z
many different options available throughout the day. Varied menus, good food.

Teachers are accessible. Excellent library. Advisors are helpful.

Professors are accessible. Class work is strenuous, byt, hey, this is college!! I'm here to learn and there is a lot of help available....teachers, advisors, library, etc.

Instructors are helpful and accessiblr. Classes are smaller and help in the learning process.

Health & Safety:
Crime is low, if not non-existant. I feel very secure on site. Everyone knows everyone and, so far, there have been no problems. Everyone seem to look out for one another.
College Senior 2013-04-01T14:09:29Z
Everyone who lives on campus is required to have a meal plan. The options for food never change and are really high priced
College Senior 2013-04-01T14:03:49Z
Our greek system is amazing!! Guys have greek houses while females all have wings in Ferguson Hall. As greeks, we are always there for each other. It was the best decision of my life. Most of campus is greek and those who aren't greek are still just as welcomed at events.

I have not lived off campus because it is hard to apply for. There are many apartments to look at if hoping to go off campus and they are very close to campus. Living in an apartment would ultimately be less expensive than living on campus. My roommate and I were looking at an apartment, but there was no way we could get off campus before the seniors and juniors.

I haven't had an internship yet but I plan to have one. In order to move forward with my career in Accounting I need to have outside hours and experience. An internship would open my eyes to what its like to be part of a business. I realize that I may not get paid, but it is the experience that counts.

Guys & Girls:
The boys at Westminster range from Jock to nerd. There really isn't anything in between. The nerds are really nice, but shy and awkward. The jocks all have a little bite to them. The girls are all very sweet. Most of them are outgoing and everyone has their own look. It's easy to fit in and find a click to join here.

You've Got to Be More Stubborn Than They Are – I received some financial aid, but I've had to work for most of the money I received to help pay for college. During recruitment season the financial aid people get a little frustrated and are almost a pain to work with. They didn't lose any forms and they did work to get me more financial aid.

Although the process of getting into your desired major is not too difficult, it sure is a task to stay in it. For example, getting into the biology program is not hard. However, if you are not willing to put in blood, sweat, and tears, you will not make it! Another benefit about the majors at Westmisnter College is the variety. If Westminster does not offer the major you intended on pursuing, you can go right to the Dean and create the major yourself!

Being that Westminster College is such a small college in such a rural area, there is not much transportation. There is a public safety van, that is always on call. This is in case of emergencies or if a student does not feel comfortable walking around late at night. I hope that one day that college can invest in transportation so that students are able to take trips together. However, for now, safety is most important!
