Santa Barbara is such a fun college town! From the beautiful beaches and pier, to tooons of great restaurants (I think SB has one of the highest restaurants/people ratios in the country!), to nearby hiking/more outdoorsy options, to all the fantastic arts and community events all over, and of course the always fun State Street, there's never a shortage of things to do! With UCSB and Santa Barbara City College in the area as well, there are always students around to give the town a fun vibe.

Santa Barbara is a fantastic place for a college as there are numerous amounts of interesting restaurants and coffee shops along a strip known as State Street. The retail shops are also plentiful and I have no problem spending a day shopping there with my friends. To top it all off, my college is five minutes away from the beach and almost ten away from a zoo!

It must be because the school is overlooking the ocean and Christian moral reinforcements, but the overall atmosphere at Westmont is pretty casual and laid back. State St. is the place to be over the weekends, and with a constant shuttle service from Westmont into town the school makes it very easy to blend with the city.

Beach and City Life – The beach and the mountains are located at opposite sides of the school, so there's something for everyone. Also, downtown State Street is a big attraction - there's restaurants, movie theaters, tons of shopping, and a Starbucks in just the right places.Palazzio's is the best Italian restaurant on State Street and arguably in Santa Barbara. They are most famous for their delicious garlic rolls.

Santa Barbara the College Town – The city of Santa Barbara is a place filled with excitement and activity. You can never get tired of exploring Santa Barbara with it's multiple coffee shops to study at, food places, beaches, and churches. State Street, the major place to be, is a street that starts at the beach and heads inland cutting through a majority of the city. It is a street always lit up and lively, with places to shop, eat, and socialize. The churches in Santa Barbara are amazing, and I am personally involved at a church called Santa Barbara Community Church which helps me continue to grow in my faith and be more connected to those living in Santa Barbara outside the Westmont circle. Right down the street from Westmont is a little village called Coast Village, and it has the most warm and convenient places to study. If you ever are in need to get off campus for a little while, Coast Village is the safest and most welcoming little area to study and focus. Santa Barbara is definitely a college town.
