Drugs are available on campus if you are the type of person who needs something to get that “high off life” feeling. Though drugs are used by a small percentage of the campus, they are still here. The major problem on campus is with drinking, which is allowed because Wheaton is a wet campus. Most students do not keep track of how much they have to drink, but it is usually not a serious problem. Another large problem on campus is smoking cigarettes, and it seems like a third of Wheaton students smoke. Another drug of choice is marijuana, which students smoke a lot of when they can get it. Though drugs are on campus, they are not prevalent, and they can easily be avoided if you do not want to be around them. Students Speak Out

There seems to be a large drug...
There seems to be a large drug scene on campus. I see mostly smoking, though, of all varieties.

I don't think that the number of smokers on campus is excessive, but they certainly are noticeable because are huddled together smoking in the same spots. I can think of five off the top of my head. Drinking, on the other hand, is extremely prevalent, and I continually hear of marijuana use.

I don't use any drugs for health...
I don't use any drugs for health reasons and because NCAA athletic policy does not allow drug use. I have no doubt that there are a noticeable number of people who smoke pot at least once a week, and that anyone could get almost any drug they wanted if they tried hard enough. However, the vast majority of people do nothing more than smoke pot every now and again, and even those people make up a fairly small minority.

The drug scene is not major here....
The drug scene is not major here. Sure, a kid got arrested for coke recently, but it is really not something that you see a lot.
