We're pretty much in the same boat...
Yes. Why should religion matter when furthering our education for the sake of a better future to not only us but our community.
I've been reading alot about how the majority of students are religious, as it's an alcohol free campus, and i'm just worried about making friends incase they don't understand my views.
Well, religious people should not judge those who have no religious preferences, as they should not judge those who consume alcohol. Though I am Catholic, I believe that everyone has their own right to believe what they believe, feel what they feel, because they are who they are.
I hope I meet you when I go here or at least like-minded people. Thanks, you've made me feel a bit better!
Hey don't you worry. I'll so totally be attending school in fall so you'll just have to look me up at the Samoan students area.. :D
I'm a little nervous as well, I like to drink and party and I feel like it will be hard to find friends who will accept me and participate with me.
Are you going here in the fall? I feel the exact same
yep! judging by the posts in the facebook group none of those kids look down haha
well i'll defo be down haha where are you from? I'm actually from Ireland, ill be going in the fall too!
When I went on my visit i went to a party and it was really fun! getting back wasn't really even bad it just kinda sucks that you have to watch your self around some people
Was there alcohol at the party? Why do you have to watch yourself around some people?
haha of course. All the parties for the most part are at apartments off campus. I mean you have to watch yourself because its a dry campus and like some RA's aren't ok with it. Im from Seattle! ireland is sweet ive been there twice!
wow, sweet. I am so calling you up when I get there to head down into some of these.. :D At least I am not the only one who would be getting some great fun from Whitworth at the same time be learning.... ;)
Awesome, where abouts in Ireland where you?? I'd love to go to Seattle! You've actually given me hope haha glad that I know someone like me is going!
dublin and wicklow!
Dublins pretty good, i'm from Belfast. Well its pretty late over here, im going to give you my email if you ever want to get in contact. Hope that's alright :) ciara1888@hotmail.com
When you say "sometimes", would you have specific days to suggest in avoiding the dining hall??
It all depends on what you usually like to eat. From what I have heard from others who go there often. I have only ever gone in because a friend paid for me. I never had a meal plan. That is why I said "sometimes."
