There is really not so much restriction on what students can and cannot do. But students are held accountable for their mistakes.

The weather is raining but there are days where the sun is out. Even if it rains one will not get super wet because classes are not so far away from each building.

The dorms with more floors make it harder for people to interact with one another. Dorms with only two floors gives residents an environment of being/feeling at home.

In WU students access to drugs are limited. Definitely do peer pressure from not using drugs. People wont treat you differently. It's more often to see students smoking this year, because we have more students from California then from Oregon this year.

Willamette has very great degree in diversity. First WU has a sister school in Tokyo, so they have many exchange programs which send a lot of Japanese students to WU. Though many don't speak English well, and most of them take classes separate from regular students, they still bring a lot of intercultural sparks to us. Besides Japanese, WU also have students from China, European countries and some middle east countries. As for economics background, though WU is a four year private liberal arts school and its tuition is pretty high compared to other school, WU has rich resources for financial aids. So students from different economic background all have a chance to enter.

The rooms generally aren't horrible but the buildings are a bit old so heating/air conditioning is a bit dodgy. The social aspect of living in the dorms is nice too. There are lots of activities you can either join in or just avoid. Totally up to you.

Guys & Girls:
There are quite a few attractive people here but they don't always have the best personalities. There are also some creepy people but that's just how life goes apparently.
College Sophomore 2013-10-19T21:46:02Z
Willamette doesn't have a party reputation and that's because parties aren't the major focus here. Sure if you know that right people it's easy to get drunk but you can easily spend a weekend hanging out with friends and not blacking out. If you do drink though, there are plenty of people here nice enough to take care of you and not report you.

Sure the coaches seem all fine at first, but you become a nameless rando as soon as you show up. They like to tout 'school first, sports second' but that's far from the reality. You are expected to retain the practice/training schedule of a D1 program, but without the benefits of things like free stuff, people to help you with homework, etc.

Small student body and some diversity but not as much as you would find at a larger college.
