Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

At Willamette, the easiest way to stay safe on campus is to use common sense: Do not walk alone at night; do not leave your laptop unattended in the library; lock your car; and do not leave your iPod in plain view to passersby. If you have any problems, you can call Campus Safety at any time, and they will send an officer to meet you. Campus Safety officers tend to be professional and will help with any requests ranging from unlocking your car to medical emergencies.

Overall, Willamette is a very safe campus. If you ever feel unsafe, feel free to call Campus Safety, and they will give you a free escort on campus or anywhere within two blocks of campus.

Very Safe

Small campus with ample security and people on watch. The walkways are for the most part well lit and safe. Campus safety is available 24 hours.

Average-Excellent

Mostly, we left our doors unlocked in our dorm rooms. My last year I had my stuff stolen because of this--during the first week move-in. My mistake. The school's security is excellent.

Responsive and Comprehensive Safety Network

From on-campus support and safety to a deal with a local taxi company where students with an ID can ride to campus safely without a cash payment immediately, everything has been thought of. In case of medical emergencies (which although rare, still matter) there is a major first-grade hospital right nearby.
