The parking on campus is free to everyone. The parking permit costs nothing. The campus is small and compact so there is no need to drive to class. There are always open parking spaces. There are parking fines you can get though if you take up more than one space or parking in a handicap with no permit.

The application is simple and easy. I did not encounter any challenges when applying. Before the application is process you have to fill out a confidentiality form.

There are few parking lots on campus including street parking. Some students are unaware of how to park in the snow.

There are some computers available to students, however the technology part isn't as high as what one would think. There isn't accessible wi-fi in every building and sometimes it is difficult to use.

The campus is really small but the teachers are really nice and will help you pass the class

A lot of people at William Penn University are in some part of Physical Education. Sports Administration takes you on a path to learn skills that will enable you to pursue different sports management jobs.

I came to William Penn University from Iowa State University and I love the tight nit campus. Teachers are more accessible and have more time for one on one teaching in their free time. The classes are small allowing time for everyone's questions to get answered. The school website is easy to use and teachers respond to emails quickly.

The places around town mostly consist of fast food restaurants. There are a few family (sit down) restaurants. If you're tired of eating from the dinning halls there is a cafe in the activity center where you can purchase (either with your Penn bucks, cash, debit or credit card) alternative food.

The drug scene is not bad but there are a lot of smokers and depending on the people you know there you can get a hold of a lot of drugs

The printing is free which is great but the Internet is horrible. It is not wireless and even the wireless in the 2 buildings can be bad.

It is fairly easy to get into the school and the programs offered at the school. There are not any special applications processes.

Being in the midwest, weather is incredibly random. The majority of the dorms on campus don't have air conditioning, which sucks in the heat of August and sometimes May. Snow and rain aren't too troublesome because the dorms are right next to where the classes take place.

Parking on campus is easy. Student permits are free, and there are lots of different lots, none of which are more than a five minute walk from class on this small, private school campus.

There are a few bars available to those 21 and older. There are no nightclubs or anywhere for those under 21 to go. There are a number of house parties at the different sports teams' houses off campus, but many house parties are very dangerous to go to in such a small town with tough police officers who know where all the big party houses are located. The best bet is having a good friend that lives off campus and having small parties there.

Oskaloosa, unfortunately, has no night life... The town is too small. Lots of parties on the weekends.

The Penn Athletic Center is an amazing place for athletes and students wishing to get into shape or watch others play basketball or football.

The new buildings like the PAC & MTC are so comfortable and relaxing. I love studying there!

Convenient for Adults – One of the most standout things about William Penn University is its program for Working Adults. A program has been established to conveniently and expediently take adults who wish to further their education a route that does not disrupt their lives completely. With just a few class hours per week (plus ample out of class work), students are able to earn their Associates, Bachelor's or Master's degree in about the same amount of time as a conventional student.

Cold but Convenience – It generally snows a lot in Iowa, but this year was quite the exception. Regardless, even when it snows the maintenance department is prompt in clearing away the snow. Buildings are close together and an easy walking distance. Although many students complain, it could be much worse.

Fish Out of Water – The community of Oskaloosa is a heavily white community with little exception. However, the campus at William Penn brings in a lot of students from more diverse and metropolitan areas of the country. For the most part, the community is very accepting of the diversity that William Penn brings to the community, but I would be remiss if I didn't mention that it is a nearly obvious label when you see a black 20-something around town to assume they are a WPU student.
College Senior 2011-12-07T05:00:50Z
The Advising System – Ever student is given an advisor and is not able to register for class without going through them this allows students to stay on track to earning their degree.
