It All About Expectation – Many of the students a William Penn University complain about many of the Professors, but i dissagree. The Professor have high expectations of their students, if those expectations are not met it shows in the grades they give out.

Hard Times – Finding a transportation at our school is very hard if you don't have a friend with a car. The school doesn't have any resources to help aid in transportation. The city doesn't even have a bus system to help people get around.

Nights at Penn – If a student doesn't have her/his own car, it gets very hard to get around because there isn't any public transportation. There diverse students. Some of them like to go parties maybe every other weekend. Others just stay in their rooms.

Housing at Penn – The double rooms cost about from $966 to $1200 per semester depending on which drom the student is in. Also when you live on campus, you are required to have a meal plan, which isn't good, for example for the students who qualify for food stamps. This raises their bills while they can just live on campus and buy their own from food. Most students decide to move off campus because of that. The single room cost about from $1366 to $1600 per semester depending on which dorm the student is in.

About Oskaloosa – Oskaloosa is a small town of about 13000 people. It is the State of Iowa. The size of it makes it easy for to go shop. Walmart and other supermarkets are nearby. The community are very interested in knowing new students and also help them. The local churches do a very good job in helping students get host families.

Community Help – Here at William Penn, a lot of the sports teams help out the community. Either from helping out the handicapped in the special olympics or having a community clean up day. Many of the teams get involved with the community to make it cleaner or to help out in general.

Easy Fit – At William Penn, a lot of the students will talk to any one. No one is left out and there really is not any particular groups like the nerds or jocks. If your looking for a school to fit into easily then I would consider William Penn.

Health & Safety:
Could Be Better – William Penns security is ok but it could be better. There are a lot of students on campus that smoke behind trash bins or even beside the buildings. They should stop them.

Friendly and Helpful Professors – I came to William penn University because it is not a vert large University. It is very easy to talk to the professors and staff about anything that might be going on and there is always somewhere you can turn for help. The professors are encouraging and helpful, and will help you succeed in the college.

Classes When There Shouldnt Be – Classes at Penn are difficult for some to get to on a regular day and the weather in Iowa does not help matters any. There have been ice storms and we were still expected to go to classes. There was a tiny snow storm and classes were cancelled. I don't think that Penn knows when it is appropriate to cancel classes.

Parking at William Penn University is a hassle. There is very limited and the students have to walk a great distance to classes or dorms because the public also utilizes the parking. Permits are free and we are supposed to get fined if we do not have them but in the two years I have been at Penn I have not seen one fine for a permit. Parking fines are not handed out as they should be until the staff make a big deal about the parking.

Guys & Girls:
The studets at William Penn University are very vast, most of them play a sport which is why the acceptance requirements are so low. The student body consists of mainly black males who are very friendly but only have a few close friends. The rest of the students at Penn, made up of about thirty percent of the student body, are half white males and the other half females. Most students at Penn are comfortable and walk around in their pajamas for the majority of their time at the school.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
