Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Williams is a very quirky and diverse place. The students are open and interested in meeting people different from themselves. Most students are like this and have a diverse group of friends—not just racially, but also socioeconomically.

The Williams administration works very hard to educate students not as willing to experiment with dissimilar people about stereotypes and the importance of talking to people different than them. The campus is very inclusive and has a ridiculously large concentration of nice and kind people. If you’re open to new experiences, you will definitely feel open here.

White Domination

It is not very diverse at Williams College because it consists mainly of white students. It is somewhat difficult to adjust to the social scene here because I came from a predominantly Asian high school. However, the people here are generally very nice, despite the lack of racial diversity.

Gotten Better in the Past Few Years...

There has been more of an emphasis in the past few years to increase socio-economic and racial diversity and it has been paying off. But, the school is still largely white, upper-middle class.

Not

not particularly diverse and many minority students only hang out with other minority students but it doesn't have to be that way. everyone is super accepting of other races and rellgions.
