Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Want to have a special facility for basket-weaving and knot-tying? Just ask. Williams will provide the space, the equipment, and the materials. Luckily, most Williams facilities support activities that are much more meaningful than the ones aforementioned.

It is reasonable to say that Williams students achieve good, if not excellent, results in many areas, including theater. The comfort of a well-designed and maintained facility helps people become better at what they do, whether it is playing the flute or kickboxing.

Nice Facilities

The facilities are generally nice, clean, and well-managed. The math and science library is very nice, but the humanities library is somewhat old. The campus buildings look nice and the scenery around campus is breathtaking.

Great!

Most likely due to the fact that the town is so small, Williams College really caters to its students. The athletic centers (I love the pool!) are top-notch, as is the relatively recently built student center, aka Paresky. There are two main libraries, located in great locations.

Favorite Things To Do

Chill in the Snack Bar, swim in the pool between 5 and 7 p.m., or walk in Hopkins Forest, party, lay in Cole Field and watch the stars, go skinny dipping in the Green River, take advantage of the ridiculous amount of free opportunities on campus (i.e. free professional workshops/lectures/performances).

Hang out in Paresky, watch free movies in Bronfman auditorium on a screen bigger than the one at Images Cinema, hang with friends in common rooms, explore the outdoors, or party anywhere on campus.

Did You Know?

The Williams College libraries hold over 800,000 volumes, and as a member of the Boston Library Consortium, have access to borrowing more than 20 million volumes from other libraries.
