Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

There could always be more variety in a small town. However, for its size, this town has a lot to offer when it comes to good food. It is true, though, that some of the restaurants are so expensive that you have to wait for your parents to come to visit and take you out.

But fear not, there are several that are still affordable. There are also a couple of all-time favorites that no one even tries to grade anymore—they are just known to offer great quality and are constantly frequented by Williams students.

Limited

The few places to eat out on Spring Street include Thai (Asian mix more accurately), Indian, etc., but someone accustomed to a bustling city like New York would find the offerings paltry.

Not Bad but Also Not Cheap

Four words: Sushi Thai, SpiceRoot, Subway. Spring Street doesn't have much else. There are bars with pub food and some other restaurants on Water Street. The little off-campus dining we have is pretty good - my main complaint is that Subway is the only place you can get a cheap meal.

Expensive but Occasionally Delicious

Dining off-campus in Williamstown will break your bank, especially if you are a high-need financial aid student. The food can be fairly good to delicious, however, and so the splurge can be worth it (if only occasionally).
