Divesity at Winthrop Universiy

Winthrop University accepts diversity regarding religion, sexual orientation, and race. A lot of the different races at Winthrop University get along and hang out together. Also Winthrop University has culture programs that help students get familiar with other religons and culture.

Dry Campus

Winthrop is an extremely dry campus. If any fraternities decide to host a party it is always held off campus at a nearby club so that if anyone is caught with underage drinking the club would be held responsible. Winthrop has no tolerance for underage drinking.

Partially Safe

When I first came to Winthrop I saw police everywhere and I felt extremely safe. Until the end of the first semester when I heard about two freshman girls who were abducted in the student parking lot and raped. After that I started carrying pepperspray.
