they are not overly flexible, but they allow some flexibility.

The library is a good quiet place to go when you need to study for a test or work on an assignment. All campus activities are sent to everyone via email.

The only online class I have taken has been college success skills. During this class I was able to work at my own pace and was actually finished in just two days. Other than that I prefer to work inside of a class setting whenever possible.

The student body mostly consists of the typical college student, they all are holding down jobs while attending college and still try to have some kind of social life.

When choosing Wytheville as my college I looked at the classes and degrees offered. Wytheville offered the associates degree in radiographic technology and I knew that was what I wanteed to do.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
the education I'm getting is well worth the money I'm paying. I got a little bit of financial aid, which helps, but I'm fine with the expense because I know my degree will make a difference in my career. I learned the hard way that it's very important to get all the right financial aid forms in on time-so don't make that same mistake! The only thing I wish the school would do differently is make its fees better known.

I feel that WCC needs more student based activities and clubs
College Senior 2013-08-01T02:03:20Z

WCC has a very developed Student Resource Center known as the ARC. Here students can look for jobs, hold mock interviews, and learn how to fill out a resume. Also, several adults who have graduated can come and look for jobs. Employers often list openings for students in certain programs of study.

Any time I need to print a power point, chapter from an E-Text, or an assignment I am always welcome to do so on any WCC printer. Our school is also involved with the Black Board Online Schooling system which helps provide numerous opportunities for earning an online degree.

WCC has a very well equipped gym. It's fun because you can ask your health instructor to schedule an appointment with you to do one on one training. Also, WCC offers free dental hygiene services to attending students.

My school is very involved in its community. My PTK organization is currently helping the Wythe County Elementary School start a back pack program that will ensure children from low income families will have something to eat over the long weekends that they are away from school.

They aren't consistant with one another. And I don't believe you should have to pay as much for online classes as you do for in class classes..... the teacher does nothing.
College Senior 2013-02-19T17:52:41Z
Everything was wonderful. But if I had to say something was negative it was because I have to take a lot of online classes because my core classes are generally offered during the same time window.

I have a professor from Virginia Tech that strongly teaches the class. However, some teachers are not as interested.
They were very helpful when it came to helping me register for classes.
All the Employees are very polite and helpful.

Most students here are right out of high school. However, many are parents and or returning students. This is a mainly Caucasian school with other ethnicity's mixed in. There are always students in study groups, activities, and such.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
School in general is too expensive for almost everyone. The financial aid is through FAFSA. Wytheville Community College offers scholarships as well. They are mostly for students in the area.

The school tries to stay involved and offer interesting but practical classes. The school is a 'get in get out' sort of place. If you want to have a community college with plenty of clubs and activities go to WCC, same if you are busy with a family but trying to get your degree. I enjoy Wytheville and have few complaints.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
