Xavier Magazine is published quarterly and is sent out to all alumni, faculty, and parents of current Xavier students. It features alumni profiles, fundraising info, features, and general news to keep the alumni up to speed about what's going on at XU.

The largest alumni events are Homecoming and the reunions that take place on campus near the end of the school year. There are also alumni chapters for each region, which hold several events a year, including cookouts, open houses, and other gatherings.

- Jim Bunning (Class of '53) – pitched a no-hitter for the Philadelphia Phillies, elected to the baseball hall of fame, U.S. senator from Kentucky
- Dr. Charles M. Geschke (Class of '62) – co-founder and chairman of the board at Adobe Systems, holds a PhD in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University, a MS in mathematics, and an AB in classics, both from Xavier University
- Janet Smith Dickerson (Class of '68) – vice president of Princeton University
- John Dreyer (Class of '69) – vice president, Walt Disney Co.
- Ken Blackwell (Class of '70) – Ohio secretary of state
- Ken Lucas (Class of '70) – U.S. congressman from Kentucky (D), 4th District
- Tyrone Hill (Class of '90) – former NBA player for the Philadelphia 76ers, named to the NBA All-Star Team in 1995
- Brian Grant (Class of '94) – current NBA player for the Phoenix Suns, winner of the J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award for the 1998–99 NBA season in recognition of his outstanding community service and charitable work
- David West (Class of '03) – current NBA player for the New Orleans Hornets, selected 18th overall in the 2003 NBA Draft
