Well Connected – MetroNorth line for New York, barely used local airport, excellent campus shuttle. Really not an issue.

Interesting things are out there if you know where to find them, but a lot of students follow a fairly generic lifestyle.

Good but Repetitive – Very good overall. Breakfast hit and miss, especially in Commons. Lunch and Dinner better than that I've encountered elsewhere. But it is repetitive.

Accessible and Reliable – Very good. PCs and Macs readily available. Printing costs a little on the high side. Bring a laptop, though, or you won't survive here.

An Uninteresting City – Yale is New Haven's biggest asset, and it would be nice if the town recognised that a little more. The best thing that can be said for New Haven is that it's on the Metro North line to NYC. It's also difficult to run out of things to do on the Yale campus.

Yale is unparalleled at providing financial aid- if you get in, they make sure you have the option to come, plain and simple.

Parking on campus is available pretty much anywhere. As long as you have quarters handy, you can always find a spot for a few hours. If you want to park year round, it's easy to get a permit, and the garages are safe and not too far away.

Athletics is visible and just about EVERYONE participates in one or two IM sports every year. Varsity athletes probably don't receive as much attention as those in the NCAA powerhouses but most choose Yale for a Yale education and the chance to still play their sport. But there is a good deal of fan support in basketball, football and hockey.

Residental Colleges Are the BEST – I literally live in a castle! Social atmosphere is very friendly, dorm rooms are beautiful, spacious, and clean. Food is awesome. It is luxurious and easy living

Academic life and student life is excellent at Yale. I could not imagine a better place to live and study.

Health & Safety:
Yale cares about student safety. The campus police are visible, very friendly, helpful and communicative.

Yale trusts students to watch after each other and to keep themselves in check

BEST THING EVER – The residential college system helps foster a sense of family at Yale. It's a huge part of student life, and you've always got your residential college at your back.

We only have one local night club, though there are several bars scattered around town.

It's a Handful – There's quite a bit to see and do, from the local restaurants to just places to hang out on the weekend. There are frequently events hosted by New Haven which provide a bunch of entertainment.

Guys & Girls:
Guys and Girls – If girls are pretty they know they are pretty. And there are a lot of attractive girls here. I mean they are both smart and pretty, of course they are going to know that. Appearances can matter a lot to a big part of the population, it's all about impression, they're all nerds but want to prove that they can be cool too. This goes for both sexes. Some guys are cute, others hot, but they are all nerds.

Yale=awesome. Everything is wonderful and they are really committed to their students

Athletics is good and almost everyone is involved in the residential college intramural sports. Varsity sports is big among those participate, but with the exception of the popular Yale-Harvard Football Game, fan support is pretty minimal because Yale students are all busy doing their own thing. Yale Varsity have won NCAA Championship in a couple of varsity sports in 2010.

Many Nationalities, Races, Cultures, Economic and Polical Backgrounds! Because of the awesome residential colleges, we all intermingle and socialize together - it's GREAT at Yale!

GREAT RESTAURANTS – I love the food options around campus. There are great restaurants that everyone develops and attachment for. Many of my graduated friends come back just to eat at certain restaurants. I developed a liking for Thai food since I arrived in New Haven. Thai taste, Thali Too, and Bespoke are all restaurants worth checking out!

Comparative Literature – Very flexible and open to cater to your own interests. The added foreign lit requirement is a plus from the English major, and forces you to really take a second language farther. The faculty have been amazing and are very accessible.

Available, If You Try – There are many apartments available around campus. I feel like everyone I know who wanted to live off campus found great housing options. I just don't know too many people who want to live off campus - the campus is so beautiful! Yale does not get involved in helping students find off-campus housing.

Bus System – The bus system is very good. There are buses that take you anywhere on campus and there is a live feed that keeps you informed of where the buses are at what times. Sometimes the bus times are not consistent though.

Drug Visibility – People definitely do drugs, especially marijuana, but also cocaine. The drug scene is pretty discrete though, you don't see people doing drugs everywhere you go, even though you know they are doing them.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
